This Man Bought 28,120-acre of Forest in USA to conserve it!

This Man Has Created History In Conserving Our Green Cover!

He bought  28,120-acre which includes forest, seven miles of unspoiled river, eleven trout ponds, and a 2,200-foot mountain. It is a $28 million dollar bid to preserve the wildlife, fish, and forests in these rugged mountains of the Northeastern United States.

The Man is none other than Jack Ma, founder and executive chairman of Chinese ecommerce giant Alibaba.

Jack Ma spent $23 million on the forest, known as Brandon Park.
"This international land purchase reflects Jack's belief that we all inhabit the same planet and we all breathe the same air, so we are dependent on each other for our collective future."

The park comprises more than nine miles of the St. Regis River, several lakes, streams, and a great deal of forestland. It sits in an area of the Adirondacks that is protected by the state of New York

heavy logging and mining work in the late 20th century depleted much of its natural timber and water resources.

About 3 percent of Alibaba's annual profit is used on public welfare and environmental protection policies.

Ma, whose net worth is estimated to be as much as $23.9 billion, has made considerable donations to conservation efforts here, helping to create the Sichuan Nature Conservation Foundation and the Laohegou Nature Reserve in Sichuan, Southwest China.

You Won't Believe It

Amid much fanfare, on May 10 Jack Ma stepped down as CEO from Alibaba, the business he built from scratch in his hometown of Hangzhou that is now one of the biggest companies in the world. On the very next day, May 11, he assumed the role of his latest endeavor: to help restore China’s environment by becoming the Chairman of the Board for The Nature Conservancy’s China Program.

HELP! The Man Who Planted 17 Million Trees! Peepal Baba!

Believe it not this man planted 17 million trees

But he needs your help! WHY?

Peepal Baba has till now planted more than 17 million trees.

Swami Prem Parivartan is popularly known as Peepal Baba.Peepal Baba has been planting trees since January 1977.

Based in Delhi, India, he travels all over the country to make efforts at spreading awareness for planting trees. He delivers talks and lectures to villagers, community gatherings, and students, institutions to create awareness towards importance of planting more and more trees.

Today, at the age of 45, he goes about planting trees wherever he is invited. He is invited by families, institutions, communities, villages to inform them and inspire them to increase their green cover. He fell in love with the mountains, rivers and forests at a very young age. By the age of ten he started planting trees in his neighborhood. The hobby grew into a passion soon enough.

Why He Needs Your Help? How You May Help?

He alone could not plant all those trees. He needs you to help him make your future better.

You may help him or say you may help yourself by becoming a volunteer.
You may donate Plant Samplings, Seeds, Gardening Tools.

NOTE - If you plant a tree sampling and do not take care of it for 2-3 years you are wasting a plant sampling. Give that plant sampling to Peepal Baba he will make sure that plant sampling lives.

Why We People Plant More Trees

As we learned in biology, trees are essential to life. They create the very air we breathe and filter air pollution.

What you may not know is that trees also build soil and help soak up storm water before it can create a flood,
and they offer energy-saving shade that reduces global warming and creates habitat for thousands of different species.

Trees also help to reduce ozone levels in urban areas.

Most importantly, trees sequester carbon, helping to remove carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases from the air,
which cools the earth. In fact, a mature canopy tree absorbs enough carbon and releases enough oxygen to sustain two human beings!
The carbon storage capacity of forests is approximately three times as large as the pool of carbon in the atmosphere.

If forests are changed, reduced, or eliminated, the captured carbon goes into the atmosphere as carbon dioxide (CO2).

Despite their importance to life as we know it, humans have cut down half of all the trees on the planet so far.

Every year we cut down over 65,000 square miles of forest worldwide for paper, agriculture, building materials and fuel.

Much of this wouldn’t be necessary if we reduced, reused and recycled more, cultivated hemp for fuel and fiber,
and used sustainable and recycled materials in all our buildings.

But until this changes,
we need to put the trees back any way we can, as fast as we can!
